Breastfeeding Center

The many proven benefits of breastfeeding have led us at Mission Women’s Health to actively promote its practice. Though breastfeeding can present logistical challenges for working moms or initial struggles with proper technique, many women find that the rewards greatly outweigh the challenges.

We offer exceptional education and support services to new mothers, with the goal of making breastfeeding easier and more manageable. We recognize that the more moms who choose to breastfeed, the more moms and babies can receive these very real health advantages:

Babies:

  • Lower risk of ear and allergy infection
  • Fewer GI disturbances
  • Mom's milk is easily digested and a perfect match
  • Filled with antibodies to prevent infections
  • Stimulates sense of smell and taste
  • Provides skin, eye, and voice contact, contributing to a bonding, loving relationship

Moms:

  • Convenient and economical
  • Helps uterus return to normal size
  • Helpful for weight loss
  • Contributes to a great bonding, intimate relationship
