FASD

Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD)

Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) Clinic is an interdisciplinary diagnostic clinic for children who have a confirmed or suspected alcohol exposure in utero. The clinic combines psychosocial, speech, occupational, and neuropsychological assessment with a genetic examination of the structural and dysmorphic features associated with fetal alcohol exposure. Following the clinic, the full team convenes to establish a diagnosis and offer detailed strategies and recommendations to help our clients achieve their full potential at home, at school, and in their communities. Post-diagnosis, the clinic coordinator, a licensed clinical social worker, is available to help interpret the clinic findings, and provide behavioral health services, support in creating a successful household structure, and advocacy for academic support/IEP planning.
